Recursive-Function is a collective of digital artists, producers and developers with a background in both digital media and event production. Other event projects include the Cuisine club nights; monthly events focussing on digital visuals and minimal electronic sounds, and the !emergency! series of music events and free festivals. Members of our team were also responsible for the successful Hot-tubs area at last year's Shambala festival. Crustea is a world-renowned visual artist. Amongst other projects, he was recently involved in the Light-Up Bristol series of performances.
We are also working in partnership with Fluffylogic Development; a digital media and games development studio who, alongside a number of high profile research and development projects, are currently working with Hewlett Packard and Sony Computer Entertainment Europe.
As part of this project we are currently involved in the Recursive-Function research project. This project is funded by the Media Sandbox fund, facilitated by the Pervasive Media Studio and produced in partnership with development studio FluffyLogic Development.
The project aims to explore the feasibility and possibilities of producing interactive digital content for playback in immersive environments. It is concerned specifically with alternate and virtual reality systems that allow for multiple users in a dome environment.
