Physical Description of Space

The Recursive-Function dome will be an environment suitable for lounging, where people can relax in their social groups, engage in wider group activity or just enjoy what is going on around them.

We will create an environment that is suitable for all.  Low level seating, bean-bags and small tables will provide comfort, relaxation and social inclusion.  Sound levels will generally be low enough to allow comfortable conversation, and will be raised only when necessary for artist performance. There will inevitably be a certain amount of technical equipment but this will not impact detrimentally on the  feel of thespace as we believe the technology should be as 'invisible' as possible, allowing people to interact with the media without thinking too much about how it is being created.

Sound will be provided by a custom surround Active Mackie sound system and our digital projection space will stretch right around the dome's inner surface, totally enveloping the audience.

This will not be a space for dancing, but an alternative space for engaging, socialising and enjoying new forms of creativity.
