Immersive Dome Concept

The Recursive Function Immersive Dome is a specialized indoor environment using cutting edge technologies to provide an immersive sensory experience. Imagine the Immersive Dome as a 'next level' cinema, with the traditional focus of screen and stage expanded and surpassed, the user experiencing the media from within, rather than observing from the outside.

This will not be a passive experience; audience interaction will be central to the events allowing users of the space to engage with, affect, and ultimately help create what happens. Key to achieving this will be the use of surround sound and surround visuals in a suitable environment, something that is impossible to recreate in the home, and thus far primarily accessible only for large budget corporate events and research projects. Beyond technological 'wow factor', the quality of the content for the area is clearly integral to our success, and here the emphasis will be on making digital interaction fun, sociable and rewarding.

The possibilties that a setup like this allows are enormous, and as such we will have a scheduled programme of art and entertainment each using the space in a unique and exciting way. We are also offering the opportunity to other artists and content creators to develop works for Immersive Dome. This is to us an important aspect as it is very rare to be able to utilise an environment of this kind and we believe it should be shared.
